Overview
Cleanium ("Cleanium", "we", "us") is an iOS app that helps you manage storage on your device — cleaning up duplicate photos, compressing videos, and organizing your media library. This Privacy Policy explains what information Cleanium processes, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Cleanium is built to do almost everything directly on your device. Scanning your photo library, detecting duplicates, and compressing video happen locally on your iPhone — your media files are not uploaded to our servers as part of these features.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little information as possible. Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- App usage and diagnostics — anonymized analytics such as feature usage, crash reports, and performance metrics, used to fix bugs and improve the app.
- Subscription and purchase information — handled by Apple's App Store; we receive confirmation of purchase status but not your payment details.
- Support communications — if you email official@cleanium-cleaner.com, we receive the information you choose to share with us, such as your email address and the content of your message.
What stays on your device
The core of Cleanium — scanning your camera roll, identifying similar or duplicate photos, sorting screenshots and portraits, and compressing videos — is performed using on-device processing. Cleanium does not upload your photos or videos to any server to provide these features, and we do not have access to the contents of your media library.
Secret Space
Secret Space lets you move photos and videos into a separate, PIN- and Face ID/Touch ID-protected area of the app. Your PIN and any biometric authentication are managed by iOS on your device; Cleanium does not transmit your PIN or biometric data to us or to any third party. Content placed in Secret Space remains stored locally on your device, protected by the authentication method you set.
How we use information
Where we do process limited information (such as diagnostics or support emails), we use it to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve Cleanium's features and stability;
- Understand which features are useful so we can prioritize future updates;
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use of the app.
Data retention
Diagnostic and usage information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You can also:
- Manage photo library access for Cleanium at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos;
- Disable diagnostic sharing in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements;
- Contact us at official@cleanium-cleaner.com to ask questions about your data or request its deletion.
Children's privacy
Cleanium is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
